#HailNo Recent Hail Storms

Home » #HailNo Recent Hail Storms

Colorado Springs has suffered its fair share of hail storms this year!  This is especially true in Fountain and Widefield areas where reports showed hail as large as softballs!  Sadly, it has caused damage to homes, cars and property across the FrontRange.  Following an intense hail storm, many people tend to focus on the damage they can see such as cars, windows, roofs, etc.  But, did you know hail damage to your mechanical roof vent can be extremely dangerous and potentially life threatening.  These vents located on your roof are typically connected to your gas appliances (furnace, water heater, gas stove).  Damage to the vents could prevent carbon monoxide from exiting your home resulting in a dangerous situation for you and your family.

A few items to be on the lookout for are:

  • Depressed/smashed vents
  • Broken or damaged vents
  • Disconnected vent pipe inside of the home

If you notice any of the above mentioned items or simply would like to know for your peace of mind, contact BullsEye Plumbing Heating & Air to inspect the vent.  Additionally, if you or someone in the home experiences symptoms such as dull headaches, weakness or dizziness, nausea or vomiting, shortness of breath, confusion or drowsiness, blurred vision, or seizures it may be due to carbon monoxide poisoning and you should seek medical assistance quickly.

It is very important to note that a roofing contractor does not have the appropriate licensing to replace/repair a damaged mechanical vent.  Leave this type of repair to the pros at BullsEye Plumbing Heating & Air.  Our licensed and highly trained technicians will assess your vent and provide you with affordable solutions to replace the vent if necessary.  Your safety is very important to us at BullsEye Plumbing Heating & Air.

BullsEye Plumbing Heating & Air is currently running a #HailNo special for customers who suffered from hail damage this summer. For only $171.15*, BullsEye Plumbing Heating & Air will replace the vent cap (with installation) up to a 7″ pipe. *Some restrictions may apply.*

We look forward to serving you!  Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Did you know that Colorado is part of what some call “Hail Alley”?  While we do not typically suffer from tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, we do often see extremely large hail throughout the latter part of summer.  Why you may ask?  Check out this interesting article that explains why we get some much more hail than most other states and why the hail tends to fall at a quicker rate!
