BullsEye Plumbing Heating & Air Frequently Asked Questions
Question: How often should I have my Colorado Springs plumbing sewer line cleaned?
Answer: Most municipal bodies recommend servicing your sewer line at least once per year. For instance, Colorado Springs Utilities goes as far to say if you do not have your lined cleaned at least once per year, they will not be responsible for any damage due to a sewage backup regardless of the cause.
Question: How much will it cost me to have you come out?

Question: Can I prevent drains from clogging?
Answer: In most cases it is possible to prevent drains from clogging by simply performing routine maintenance on the line. For most lines 2” and smaller we offer the best preventative maintenance solutions – Bio Clean”. Simply use as directed for clean and clear Colorado Springs plumbing lines every time. Many of you already know that an over the counter drain cleaner is almost always a bad idea and a waste of money. Bio Clean is comprised of naturally occurring strains of live, vegetative bacterial cultures with an exceptional appetite for organic matter and is environmentally safe. This product continues working. Only one half capful per treatment has more activity than 5 capfuls of other bio-products. For lines larger than 2” it may be necessary to have your line professionally cleaned once a year to prevent any buildup or root intrusions from clogging the line. For main sewer lines, we offer Rootx providing a 1 year guarantee against backups due to roots.
Question: Why is the water pressure in my home low? How can I fix it?
Answer: In some cases low water pressure in your home may be due to an undersized pipe or old piping (usually galvanized) blistering and corroding from the inside. If this is the case it is usually best to replace the pipes. This valve is usually located near the water meter in your home. This part can usually be replaced by a plumber for less than $250.00.
Question: Is there anything I need to do to my home to prepare it for Winter/Spring?
Answer: Yes! If the home is occupied you will want to ensure you protect your plumbing against freezing. #1 Make sure you disconnect any hoses or adapters from outside faucets. #2 Make sure you have your sprinkler system winterized. This should consist of turning off the water supply to the system, draining and purging the system with compressed air. For spring you will want to reconnect and charge your sprinkler system.
If the home is not occupied you should have the home professionally winterized. This process is very extensive and will start at $150.00 for a one bath home and $50.00 for each additional bathroom. For a three bath home the total would be $250.00. This is usually the best and most cost effective way to prevent freeze damage and possibly thousands in repairs. As an FYI (in Colorado) all professional real estate agents and banks have this done to every vacant property with almost no exception.
Question: How can I stop roots in my line?
Answer: Once you have roots there is no way to prevent them without repair. With the #1 root treatment on the market, RootX, it is possible to extend the life of your pipes. RootX has a 100% guarantee for 1 year after each use. Call us with questions or to schedule an appointment!
